Keeping the Star...

Just a few pictures to capture a funny toddler moment....
(picture quality isn't the best though but you get the point!)

Madeline really loved the star topper for ourChristmas tree.  She loved holding it.

She loved holding it sooo much that when Daddy went to lift her to place it on the top of the tree....
she didn't want to let go....

      Meanwhile we are explaining to her that the star NEEDED to go on the top of the tree.
Daddy even showed her how to do it by demonstrating it once.....

But still.....

She decides to look down at her feet and around. Can you see Daddy grimacing?!
Daddy is starting to say..."Man she is heavy."


(Suspending a 33 pounder in the air for long periods....must be tiring!)


And still I am taking pictures....and we are all starting to laugh....because Madeline won't put the star on the tree.

Can you see Jack smirking? Now, Madeline is laughing....
She found a new funny game by keeping the star herself.

And guess who STILL has the star! She is so proud of herself and we were laughing.
Can you say cheesy smile?!

Who would have thought that a 2 year old could make adding a star so funny....
It will be a good story to tell when she is older.....

"The Christmas she didn't want to put the star on the tree... and wear out Daddy's arms...."
