|Grandparents: My parents (on left) and Jack's parents (on right)|
That's right...Grandparents....everywhere! It was the first time since our wedding (over 4 years ago) that our parents have seen each other. Our mom's have talked through email from time to time. But, this was momentous... since Madeline would probably not have this happen on most holidays as she gets older. Both of her grandparents together with HER for Thanksgiving. Jack's family is large and it was a rarity that we could make this happen. We made sure to take lots of pictures this Thanksgiving because we think that Madeline will have no recollection of this happening...but it sure was a special Thanksgiving!
Jack and I are very blessed in that our parents both share some common interest in gardening, teaching, and our mom's LOVE to cook. It was a grand Thanksgiving having two moms that love to cook their best dishes and fabulous pies. Comfort food x 2 this Thanksgiving. If that isn't something to be thankful for...
I am not sure what is....
We all had a great time together, laughing, sharing stories, hearing the mom's cackling over old stories of Jack and my childhood. The men were entertained with football after football game and Madeline was on a pure grandparent high from all the kisses, hugs, conversations, playmates, and attention.
To top it all off...Jack celebrated his 34th birthday today with both families. We ate pumpkin pie, mince meat pie, and Jack's birthday cake: Peanut Butter Playground from Coldstone. What a high calorie, action packed, family fun holiday it has been.

We are so thankful that are families were together under one roof this Thanksgiving. Kudos to my parents for hosting everyone. It will be hard to top this Thanksgiving!
